Welcome to GOGI. ("GOGI", "we", "us" and/or "our"). This privacy policy has been created to provide information about our company, website and mobile application services (together with the Site, the "Service") to our users ("you", "your"). This Privacy Policy sets forth GOGI's policy with respect to information, including personally identifiable data ("Personal Data"), and other information that is collected from visitors to our website located at (the "Site") and users of the Service.

Information We Collect

When you interact with us through the Service, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That You Provide Through the Service: We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide certain information requested by the Service, such as when you register for access to the Service (for example, name and email address), use certain features of the Service, contact us with inquiries or respond to surveys or polls. Wherever GOGI collects Personal Data we make an effort to provide a link to this Privacy Policy.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of GOGI and authorized third parties.

Non-Identifiable or Aggregated Data: When you interact with GOGI through the Service, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information (for example, geo-location and device ID). Such information, which is collected passively from all users using various technologies, is not used to specifically identify you. GOGI may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by GOGI affiliates, agents or service providers. The Service may use such information and pool it with other information to track Site performance, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers, and how our users use and interact with the Service. Also, in an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Service, GOGI often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on, but not including, the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis to track general trends, provide statistical information, and encourage community wide improvement for golfers and those that serve them. GOGI may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners, in order to improve their ability to provide golfers with beneficial services and products, but only after we have removed any personally identifying information. GOGI may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our Service to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

In operating the Service, we may also use a technology called "cookies." A cookie is a piece of information that the computer that hosts our Service gives to your browser when you access the Service. Our cookies help provide additional functionality to the Service and help us analyze Service usage more accurately. For instance, our Service may set a cookie on your browser that allows you to access the Service without needing to remember and then enter a password more than once when you are using the Service. In all cases in which we use cookies, we will not collect Personal Data except with your permission. On most web browsers, you will find a "help" section on the toolbar. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem. Also, if you provide Personal Data in order to obtain access to the Service, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to such services and to monitor your use of such services. GOGI and its subsidiaries and affiliates (the "Related Companies") may also use your Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Service to help us improve the content and functionality of the Service, to better understand our users and to improve the Service. GOGI and its Related Companies may use this information to communicate with you regarding the Service or to tell you about services (including those of our trusted partners) that we believe will be of interest to you. If we do so, each marketing communication we send you will contain instructions permitting you to "opt-out" of receiving future marketing communications. In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below. Note however that as a user of the Service you cannot opt-out of some administrative communications that are reasonably necessary to the Service, such as service notifications.

Exclusions This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data received by GOGI other than Personal Data collected through the Service. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to GOGI through the Service or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted to any public areas of the Service, such as bulletin boards, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, "Unsolicited Information"). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and GOGI shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information without limitation or attribution.

Of course, maintaining your trust is our primary concern so we adhere to the following principles, which summarize our privacy policy, regarding your information:

  • We do not rent, sell, or otherwise provide any personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy or required by law.
  • We do not share any information you have not chosen to display on your GOGI profile or other public areas of the Service unless necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of GOGI, its users, and the public.

Special Registration Requirements of Minors

If you are under age 13, you are not authorized to use the GOGI Service unless all of the following apply:

  1.) You have obtained permission from your parent or guardian to use GOGI 

2.) Your parent or guardian completes the Game of Golf Institute Consent Form (PDF). This consent form can be accessed and downloaded via this link: The consent form contains instructions on how to send the signed consent form back to GOGI.

3.) Your parent or guardian assists you to complete your registration and 

4.) Your participation is also under the supervision of a PGA-certified golf instructor or program.

If you are between the age of 13 and 18, you must have a parent assist in the completion of registration. In addition if you are between the age of 13 and 18, you represent that you possess legal parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

How GOGI Protects Information of Minors

GOGI has implemented special safety measures and privacy controls to protect the data of any youth member under the age of 18 ("Minor") including:

  • Minors that register on GOGI will be identified on our site by first name and first initial of their last name (for example, "Alex F.") only " never a full name.
  • By default, other GOGI members cannot see any information (profile data, stats, photos, etc.) of any Minor, unless that GOGI member is a "GOGI Friend" of that Minor on the GOGI website. A "GOGI Friend" is a member of the GOGI community that has sent or received a formal request to be a friend of the Minor using GOGI"s online communication tools. The Minor can choose to accept or deny ANY friend request. If the Minor accepts the Friend Request, that GOGI member becomes a "GOGI Friend" of the Minor and allowed to view content (photos, videos, golf scores) posted by the Minor that the Minor has chosen to be visible to GOGI Friends in his or her permissions settings. Examples of GOGI Friends include friends, family and instructors known by the Minor and his or her parents. Please note that any communication, interaction and/or friend requests among the Minor and other GOGI members is clearly viewable within the Minor"s profile information and usage history. Therefore, GOGI recommends to parents of GOGI participants to regularly monitor and supervise your child's activities on GOGI. Parents may, for example, want to set rules for your child about whom he or she can talk to, what discussion topics are allowed, and what personal information, if any, is okay to share.
  • GOGI does not share any Minor personal contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, address, etc. with any GOGI members at any time.
  • Personally identifiable data (name, address, email, phone number) is NEVER sold to third parties.
  • All GOGI members own their own data
  • All GOGI members can delete their own data, modify profile information or close their account at any time.

Important Safety Tips on GOGI for Minors:
  • Only "friend" GOGI members you and your parents know well.
  • Always be careful when sending a "friend" request to someone
  • Always be careful when accepting requests from people you do not know
  • Never post your full name, address or phone number when communicating with other GOGI members.
  • Never share your password with anyone.
  • Be very cautious about posting and sharing personal information, especially information that could be used to identify you or locate you off-line
  • Report users and content that violate our Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.
  • NEVER meet someone in person that you meet online without your parents
  • Email GOGI at when anyone sends you unwanted or inappropriate communications.
Important Tips for Parents:
  • Encourage your children to follow GOGI's safety tips
  • Ask your child to send you a "friend" request on GOGI so that you can view their GOGI profiles
  • Regularly monitor and supervise your child's activities on GOGI.
  • Set rules for your child about whom he or she can talk to, what discussion topics are allowed, and what personal information, if any, is okay to share on GOGI.

Links to Other Web Sites

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service. The Service may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by GOGI (the "Third Party Sites"). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from the Service do not imply that GOGI endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

Integrating Third Party Services within the Service

One of the special features of the Service is that it allows you to enable various online third party services, such as social media and social networking services ("Third Party Services"), to be directly integrated into your GOGI experience. By directly integrating these services, we make your online experiences richer, and more personalized. To take advantage of this feature, we will ask you to provide us your username and password for the relevant Third Party Services. By enabling such Third Party Services, you are allowing us to pass your log-in information to these service providers for this purpose. When you add a Third Party Service account to the Service, we will collect your login information and other relevant information necessary to enable the Service to access that Third Party Service and your data contained within that Third Party Service. However, please remember that the manner in which Third Party Services use, store and disclose your information is governed solely by the policies of such third parties, and GOGI shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any Third Party Service that may be enabled within the Service.

GOGI uses industry standard protocols reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via the Service from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet, email or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in this way.
